The European qualifications to the 2010 World Cup of Football continue on Wednesday 10th of June. Most of the matches have very clear favorite, for an example England is meeting tiny football country Andorra at their home field. While England almost certainly wins that match it is hardly worth a pick.
Our tip comes to one of the most anticipated matches of the round. Finland is playing against Russia in Helsinki, Finland. Last Saturday Finland played against Liechtenstein and unexpectedly had major issues against them.
Finland started out by dominating the game and creating lot of goal opportunities, however without a proper striker it is hard to score a goal. After a catastrophic mistake by the Finnish defense line Liechtenstein managed to take a 0-1 lead. Finland eventually managed to win 2-1 however it was very clear that Finland is just not a very good team at the moment.
As said earlier the Finnish team lacks lot of attacking power. As well as the Finland team is just too old and too slow to play in the high level required to challenge Russia.
When Russia and Finland played against each other last fall Russia took an easy 3-0 win over Finland. We wouldn’t be surprised to see Russia win by several goals again. There was some speculation earlier that Andrei Arshavin couldn’t play for team Russia, but he appears to be in full fit and according to Guus Hiddink Arshavin will play in the starting line up.
Our pick: Bet on Russia if you can get odds of over 1.7
