One of the most exciting football tournaments, the UEFA under 21 European championship starts on today, 15th of June. The tournament starts today with two matches from the group B, England against Finland and Germany against Spain.
Only 8 teams made their way to this final tournament takes place in Sweden. The group A consist the hosting country Sweden, football giant Italy, Serbia and a bit surprising team in the tournament: Belarus. It is not hard to predict that Italy is a major favorite in this group; however the home crowd might boost Sweden to some amazing results.
In the group B Spain is the biggest favorite. However Germany and England both surely have their goal on the final. The fourth team in this group is Finland. Finland isn’t exactly a frequent visitor in these parties, in fact this the first time the Finnish Under 21 team has made its way to the European Championship tournament.
It is hard to see the Finnish team having any kind of success in this tournament as before the tournament they lost their two most important players: Extremely talented goalkeeper Tomi Maanoja, who plays at AIK and Roman Eremenko who chose to focus on the Finland’s national team’s games.
