Last week Phil Ivey became the 12th person to have won 6 or more World Series of Poker bracelets. Phil Ivey managed to win the $2,500 deuce-to-seven no limit tournament.
For actually winning the tournament Phil took home around $100,000 – impressive amount for anyone else. However as Phil Ivey is estimated to be worth more than $100 million he wouldn’t play this type poker tournaments without some extra proposition bets in the side.
Last year Phil Ivey bet on himself to win a WSOP Bracelet, however he didn’t manage to do that in 2008 and his opponents collected a hefty amount. It is reported that this year the bets got even bigger and now with his WSOP victory he takes home over $3million from the prop bets.
