Yesterday 3 different 2009 World Series of Poker tournaments came to an end. Here are the results from those tournaments.
The first one that was finished was the $2,500 pot limit Omaha tournament.
The final table in that tournament featured some amazing poker players such as John Juanda, Hendon mob team member Ross Boatman and J.C tran – who have over $7million in poker tournament winnings.
After several hours of play there was still two players left in the tournament J.C Tran and Jeff ber. However as J.C Trand had a sizable chip advantage in the beginning of the headsup play it didn’t take long from hime knock out Jeff Kimber.
For his victory J.C Tran gets $235,000. The second WSOP Event that was finished yesterday was a $10,000 headsup tournament. The last two players in that tournament were John Duthie (founder of the European Poker Tour) and Leo Wolpert. Leo Wolpert managed to win 2 of the 3 heads-up matches played between these and became the $10,000 WSOP heads-up champion.
For winning the tournament Leo Wolpert got over $600,000. The final tournament that was finished yesterday was the $1,500 HORSE (poker format that features 5 different poker games) tournament. In that tournament James Van Alstyne managed to finally secure his first ever WSOP victory.
James Van Alstyne has been playing poker tournament for almost 20 years and had already made his way in to the WSOP final table five times before this event. For winning the tournament James gets $250,000.
